The Los Angeles Clippers extended their winning streak to nine games with a 120-111 win over Luka Doncic's Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night at the American Airlines Center. Kawhi Leonard registered a game-high 30 points and raised the roof with his spectacular euro step basket late in the fourth quarter, which left his teammates Russell Westbrook and James Harden among others amazed.

The Clippers registered their ninth victory in a row in the 2023-24 NBA regular season, which is currently the longest winning streak, and moved past the Mavericks in the Western Conference standings with a 17-10 record.

With less than 1:30 remaining in the fourth quarter, Kawhi Leonard drove inside the Mavericks' defense and produced a sensational euro step, beating the likes of Grant Williams and Luka Doncic. As the Clippers forward converted the shot, his teammates Russell Westbrook and James Harden expressed their adoration for the play in a viral video on social media.

Clippers climb to fourth spot in WC standings

With this win against the Mavericks, the Clippers not only continued their winning streak but also climbed up two spots in the Western Conference standings. The Clippers are now placed fourth in the standings with just Minnesota (20-6), Oklahoma City (17-8), and Denver (19-10) above them.

Kawhi Leonard finished with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists with 54.5% shooting from the field. Apart from him, the entire Clippers scored in double-digits, except Terance Mann (7 points). Norman Powell scored 21 points followed by James Harden with 17 points and 11 assists while Russell Westbrook scored 10 points and six assists in 23 minutes after coming off the bench.

For the Mavericks, Luka Doncic led the scoring with a 28-point triple-double while Tim Hardaway Jr. continued his strong form with 21 points. However, Dallas lost their second consecutive game and will next travel to the Toyota Center to face the Houston Rockets on Friday.
