Cricket fans are excited and thrilled to watch the Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar, leading India Legends in the ongoing Road Safety World Series (RSWS) 2022. Recently, legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has revealed a self-proclaimed technique to clean the cricket bat's grip to keep it slightly sticky.
Sachin Tendulkar-led India Legends defeated South Africa Legends in their RSWS 2022 opener by 61 runs as Stuart Binny (82*) and Yusuf Pathan (35*) helped their team to register a target of 218 runs.
On Tuesday, Sachin took to his official Twitter handle and posted a video of himself cleaning his bat's grip with music being played in the background. Sachin stated that through washing, dust can be removed from the bat's grip making it clean and a bit more sticky.
Firstly, Sachin applied soap to the grip then cleaned it with water, and dried with a towel. Sachin also revealed that nobody has ever trained him to clean the bat grip and it's totally a gut feeling. After cleaning his bat, Sachin said, "This has given me everything in life so, I need to take care of this."
Sachin also warned the fans to stay 'ultra-careful' while washing the grip as the water can spoil the bat. Talking about the background music, he said, "By the way, the music in the background is being played in my room. These songs are from my favourite singers including Lata didi, Asha Tai, Kishore Kumar, Mohammad Rafi.... the list is endless."
Meanwhile, India Legends will next face West Indies Legends on September 14 in Kanpur while the match between England Legends and Sri Lanka Legends is underway as the Three Lions' legends are batting first after losing the toss.
