The Gujarat Titans (GT) are hosting the reigning champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match 59 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. While the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side entered this fixture on the back of a win over Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the reverse fixture, the Titans are coming on the back of three consecutive losses.

As the two sides took the field, it was the visiting skipper, Ruturaj Gaikwad, who came out on top in the toss war and invited the hosts to put the score on the board. But the hosts had different plans as they took the crease, both openers in Shubman Gill as well as Sai Sudharsan reaching their respective centuries.

While the GT skipper reached his maiden ton of IPL 2024 off 50 deliveries, Sai Sudharsan, who is having a scintillating season thus far reached his maiden IPL century too. Although it was Gill’s fourth IPL hundred, Sudharsan reached his maiden ton in the tournament off 50 deliveries.

The Indian youngster, who reached his hundred off the final delivery of 17th over, which was bowled by Simarjeet Singh, was quick to signal a thumbs up and go for a fist pump. Sudharsan also received a hug from his skipper, with the dugout also giving a standing ovation to celebrate the twin hundreds in the over.
