The IPL 2024 table-toppers Rajasthan Royals are taking on Punjab Kings in match 26 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh. The visiting captain Sanju Samson won the toss earlier in the match and invited the hosts to bat first.
After winning the toss, the RR skipper was involved in a big blunder as he forgot the name of Tanush Kotian, an uncapped Indian player who replaced R Ashwin in the Playing XI. When asked about the change in the XI by Daren Ganga, the wicketkeeper-batter named Rovman Powell as Jos Buttler’s replacement but while naming R Ashwin’s replacement, he just forgot and laughed out to let it go.
