The second ODI of the three-match series went as No Result after persistent rain played a spoilsport. With rain halting the play twice, the game on Sunday (27 November) was later called off, with the series still going in favour of the hosts.
However, once again the social media went berserk not for rain playing a spoilsport, but it was Sanju Samson’s exclusion from the Playing XI that grabbed limelight. However, it did not have much impact on Samson, as the batter was spotted helping the groundstaff.

The 28-year-old was seen helping the groundstaff at Seddon Park, Hamilton putting covers as the game was interrupted by rain. Fans did not wait for the moment before they hailed the wicketkeeper batter for this gesture. While some heaped praise of him as the “King in character”, a few others captioned the post sharing the image as “kind man”.
While this definitely isn’t the end for the young batter, the fan following of the Kerala batter was seen even at the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022. Fans were pictured with banners showing support for the 28-year-old after he was snubbed from the Playing XI of the second ODI.
The IPL franchise of the Kerala batter also reshared the picture of fans from the World Cup in Qatar.
