Ahead of Pakistan's Test series in Australia, a verbal spat broke out between veteran wicketkeeper-batter Sarfaraz Ahmed and middle-order batter Saud Shakeel in a training session in Canberra. The Men in Green are gearing towards a crucial series against the World Champions, especially after major changes to the leadership after a poor ODI World Cup 2023.

Talking about the altercation,   Sarfaraz Ahmed was batting in the nets with his kit on and had an exchange of words with Saud Shakeel, who was due to come in next. The conversation soon got out of hand as a tense altercation broke out with both players not backing down.

The exact reason behind the altercation isn't out yet but it seemed that the two players disagreed regarding batting at the nets. The verbal spat started as    Shakeel questioned,  "For how long will I continue to be of use to you?"

Sarfaraz countered, stating, "You won't be of any use to me. To begin with, I never instructed you to do anything. I never requested you to make a swap. I swapped with the person I intended to."  Shakeel  retorted  saying, "You still made the swap, so I was beneficial to you."
