Australia hosted West Indies in the first ODI of the three-match series after falling against them in the second Test at the iconic Gabba in Brisbane. However, the hosts registered a comfortable win against the Shai Hope-led Windies by eight wickets to go 1-0 up in the series at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne.
While it was debutant Xavier Bartlett’s show at the MCG, Sean Abbott also caught the eyeball for his ‘bow and arrow’ celebration. The Aussie pacer came up with this unique celebration after running out Keacy Carty in the 41 st over of the Windies inning. With Carty batting at 88, Hayden Walsh Jr hit the ball towards short cover with the former attempting a quick single.
However, Abbott, who was positioned close to short covers, raced towards the ball and was quick to attempt a direct hit, dismissing Keacy Short with 12 runs short of a century.

Later today, Team India Under 19 World Cup captain, Uday Saharan also did a ‘bow and arrow’ celebration after reaching his century in match against Nepal at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein.
