Pa kistan’s state of cricketing infrastructure was once again brought into the limelight after Pakistan all-rounder, Shadab Khan was carried off the field on the shoulders during the ongoing National T20 Cup. In Super Eight match of the domestic T20 tournament, Khan, who is playing for Rawalpindi got injured in the match, missing remainder of the match.

In the match being played at the UBL Ground in Rawalpindi, the 25-year-old twisted his ankle while fielding in the first inning. He tried to stop the ball with the left foot, but stepped on it, eventually twisting his ankle. Soon after this hiccup, Shadab was carried off with the 12th man replacing him on the field.

The Pakistan media, notably Samma TV later confirmed that there were no stretchers available at the ground which led to this scene. The incident also got massive backlash on social media as fans even questioned the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
