Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan is all set to perform at the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 opening ceremony as part of the star-studded lineup that includes Indian actors Tiger Shroff, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra and Kartik Aaryan. Ahead of the WPL 2024 opener between Harmanpreet Kaur's Mumbai Indians and Meg Lanning-led Delhi Capitals, the King Khan met the DC skipper and the duo performed the Indian actor's signature pose in a viral video on social media.
Defending champions Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals in the WPL 2023 final and the opening match of the 2024 season will be a rematch of last year's final. The WPL 2024 opener between MI and DC is scheduled to take place on Friday, February 23, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Shah Rukh Khan was spotted at the Bengaluru stadium ahead of the WPL 2024 opener and met former Australia women's captain Meg Lanning, who has been a fan of Bollywood's veteran actor. In a viral video on X, posted by the Delhi Capitals, SRK met Lanning and asked her to imitate his signature pose which gained applause from other women's cricketers around them.

However, this is not the first time when the Aussie performed Shah Rukh's signature pose. After DC's WPL 2023 playoffs qualification, Lanning performed the popular move, which grabbed the attention of many.

Following the WPL 2024 opener between MI and DC, Royal Challengers Bangalore are scheduled to face UP Warriorz on Saturday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The first 11 matches will be played in Bengaluru while the second half of the WPL 2024 including the playoffs will take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
