The match started with Barbados Royals skipper Rovman Powell winning the toss and inviting their rivals to bat first.
The Warriors’ batter Hope came in to bat number 3 and was seemingly in a mood to destroy their opponents with his fierce batting. It took him just 23 balls to reach the half-century mark. Not only this, but the WI ODI captain crossed the 100-run mark in merely six deliveries from when he was at 69 runs.

Showing no mercy on his rival bowler Rahkeem Cornwall, the batter hit four maximums and two boundaries to reach the three-figure mark in the 41st delivery. Riding on Hope’s century, the Warriors posted a mammoth total of 267 runs on the scoreboard with a loss of seven wickets.
Hope was dismissed after he his 44-ball 106 off an Obed McCoy delivery and was later awarded as the Player of the Match for his on-field heroics. Their opponents, Barbados Royals, couldn’t chase the target and fell short of 88 runs.
