Former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan is one of the finest cricketers ever to play the sport for his country. Apart from his spin bowling, his contributions with the bat make him a genuine all-rounder, one that can change the course of the match with both skills. Given that he has made a name for himself in international cricket, the southpaw is a role model that people look up to and wherever he goes, he represents Bangladesh cricket and what it stands for.
However, one of his recent act on the field has not put him or Bangladesh cricket in good light. The star all-rounder, who plays for the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL, lost his temper not once but twice in the same match while playing in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) 2021. His reaction came after the on-field umpire turned down his appeal. Notably, while playing for the Mohammedan Sporting Club against Abahani Ltd in the ongoing match on Friday, there were two occasions when Shakib was not impressed with the umpire's decision and let his emotions get the better of him. He even kicked the stumps in frustration this one time. The video of Shakib's act has surfaced on the internet.

Earlier, the 34-year-old had decided to skip the Pakistan Super League to play in this domestic competition. The DPL 2019-20 season was postponed last year after just one completed round of matches in compliance with measures taken to fight the COVID-19 outbreak in the country but resumed on May 31 this year.
