The West Indies are taking on England in a three-match Test series. While the Kraigg Brathwaite-led side lost the first Test by an inning and 114 runs, the Windies men are struggling to take the second Test and draw the series with one more match to go. On Day 3 of the ongoing second Test at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham, Windies pacer Shamar Joseph hogged the limelight after he hit a monstrous six off Gus Atkinson’s over.
The incident occurred in the 107th over of West Indies inning. The tailender took down Atkinson’s second delivery of the over off to deep mid-wicket, clearing his intentions with a maximum. He then launched another short delivery towards deep backward square leg for a six and this time the ball landed on the roof of the stadium, doing some damage.
Joseph’s six hit the roof and broke the tiles, which further fell on the spectators sitting below. Luckily, none of the fans were injured at this moment, surviving major injuries in the process.
