Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood was seen furious over his controversial dismissal in the first Test against Bangladesh. On Wednesday, August 21, Pakistan hosted Bangladesh for the first Test of the series at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The game saw the hosts incurring a horrific start as Bangladesh reduced them to three down within the first 50 deliveries after being put to bat first. 

Pakistan skipper Shan Masood, who along with star batter Babar Azam were dismissed by Shoriful Islam, was seen getting furious over his dismissal. Masood was caught behind in the 7th over and was seen engaging in a heated debate with the umpires and exchanging words with the officials after being given out. Islam dished out a ball that was short of length and nipped back in from the outside off.

The Pakistani batter came forward to defend the delivery as the ball went through to Litton Das. The bowlers broke into an appeal but the on-field umpire sided with the home team, which led to the visitors opting for a review. The UltraEdge showed a spike but when the ball hit the pads after going past the bat, leaving the Pakistan captain furious. He charged towards the on-field umpire; however, umpire Richard Kettleborough firmly instructed him to continue walking back to the dugout. 

Masood was later seen in the dressing room, looking at the replay and showing to his teammates how the technology had made an error. Talking about the series, the two-match Test series is a part of the World Test Championship with Pakistan currently on sixth spot in the standings whereas Bangladesh on eighth.
