The Match 1 of Legends League Cricket was nothing short of any action and nostalgia as India Maharajas locked horns with Asia Lions in Oman on Thursday. In the first innings, it was all about Irfan Pathan's all-round show as he dazzled on the field with his bowling and fielding. However, couple of brilliant knocks from Upul Tharanga and Misbah-ul-Haq powered Lions to 175/7 in 20 overs.

The run-chase was always going to be very exciting with Shoaib Akhtar set to be seen in action, bowling after such a long time. And the Rawalpindi Express certainly did not disappoint!

One of the most fierce bowlers in the history of sport looked in great rhythm and just like his old days, he once again proved to be a nightmare for the batsmen. The openers of India Maharajas - Stuart Binny and Naman Ojha - struggled against him with the new ball and as it turned out, Akhtar's hard-work finally reaped rewards for him.

The 46-year-old bowled a short-pitch delivery and Stuart Binny smashed the ball straight into hands of Upul Tharanga. Akhtar, who looked quite tired, celebrated like a kid with his hands up in the air and a wry smile on his face. It was indeed a brilliant moment for fans!
