The Ben Stokes-led Three Lions are taking on India in the fourth Test of the five-match series. While the visitors won the toss and opted to bat first, they posted 353 on the board on the back of Joe Root’s unbeaten 122. On the other hand, the Men in Blue toiled hard and eventually were bundled out at the score of 307, handing England a 46-run lead.
Apart from Root, it has been a moment to remember for Shoaib Bashir, who even claimed his first five-wicket haul in first-class cricket. This moment came in the 101st over of the India inning when Bashir dismissed Akash Deep. Soon after umpire Rod Tucker’s nod, Bashir turned to raise the ball to acknowledge his five-for and even performed ‘Sajdah’.
Bashir, in the ongoing fourth Test in Ranchi, dismantled the Indian lineup including the likes of Shubman Gill, Rajat Patidar, Ravindra Jadeja, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Akash Deep.
