Shreyas Iyer, the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, hilariously spun around while tossing the coin in the air for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 final against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. His opposing counterpart Pat Cummins called the toss right before deciding to bat first in the final of the IPL 2024.
After winning the toss, Pat Cummins remarked that he is not good at reading pitches but the one in Chennai for the IPL 2024 final looks fine to him. He also spoke about how there was no dew at the MA Chidambaram Stadium during the Qualifier 2 of the tournament, which might seemingly be the case tonight.
Shreyas Iyer revealed that he would have liked to bowl first in the IPL 2024 final after losing the toss, sticking to their strength of chasing down totals more specifically. He also alluded to the team needing to execute their plans, while being humble enough to admit that a lot of their players will be playing in the final for the first time.
