The Gujarat Titans silenced all their doubters as they won the 2022 IPL season by defeating the Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets. The Hardik Pandya-led Titans have dominated each and every team throughout the season as they topped the table with ten wins and only four losses. In the final the restricted, Rajasthan’s big-hitting batting at the score of 130.
Gujarat bowling was led by their captain Hardik Pandya who picked three wickets while giving away just 18 runs. Similarly Rashid Khan, Yash Dayal and Mohammed Shammi each picked up one wicket while Sai Kishore also ended up with two wickets. Lockie Ferguson was the only bowler who couldn't pick any wickets but bagged the fastest bowl in the game.
Then in the second innings, like Rajasthan, Gujarat also struggled in the start as they lost Wriddhiman Saha for five and Mathew Wade for nine. Here Hardik Pandya once again stepped up and scored a crucial 34 runs in 30 balls with Shubham Gill who carried his bat and finished off the game with 45 runs in 43 balls.

After the match, GT coach Gary Kirsten praised his team and talked about how the team was built around creating a balance and depth which help the win the title. He said, "Really chuffed. You are looking for balance, depth at the auction but the most important is you need guys who are versatile. We had a strong bowling attack throughout the tournament and towards the end we even went a bowler extra and a batter light."
