Sourav Ganguly has been replaced by Roger Binny as the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and this has allowed the former India captain to do things that he can enjoy. While Ganguly has been on the move, travelling to different places, the former BCCI President was spotted practising at a cricket ground recently.

Ganguly was seen in an old Indian jersey and with a bat in hand. In the video, doing the rounds on social media, Ganguly is seen playing a cover drive, one of his favourite shots from playing days. With the former India captain back on the cricket ground after a long time, fans have started searching for the reason behind it.

While many speculate a comeback, a few fans were realistic enough to understand that it may be for an advertisement shoot or for a biopic. “Dada practising on the pitch again! Is he staging a comeback?” wrote a user while sharing Ganguly’s video.

“Biopic ka chakkar babu bhaiya..!!!” wrote one user on the post. “May be ad?” tweeted another.

Notably, Ganguly was recently spotted at a restaurant in London. In fact, he has been in London ever since he lost the post of BCCI president. The former India captain was seen with his family. Ganguly shared the pictures on his Instagram as well.

Ganguly served as the BCCI President for three years. He was the 35th President of the world's richest cricket board. But with his tenure ending, the members of the board wanted a new president and hence Roger Binny was elected unanimously at BCCI's 91st Annual General Meeting (AGM).

While Ganguly is no more a part of BCCI, he still holds a significant position in the International Cricket Council (ICC). It's said that Ganguly has retained his post of head of the men's Cricket Committee.
