South Africa legend AB de Villiers has hung his boots and will not play in any form of cricket now. With him gone, the thrill and miracles he brought to the cricket field will be missed badly. It is also true that no one can replicate what Mr. 360 achieved in his career. But his style of batting can definitely be imitated and the 18-year-old Dewald Brevis has completely nailed AB's style of batting. The South Africa U19 cricketer has a lot of similarities to AB de Villiers when it comes to batting.
From the stance to the walk down the pitch, and the follow-through after a shot is played, everything Dewald Brevis does while batting reminds people of de Villiers. Brevis put on an exhibition in the opening clash of the U19 World Cup against India, where he played shots all around the ground, just like de Villers used to do. In his knock of 65, Brevis hit two sixes, both in the long-on region, and his follow-through with the bat after those two sixes were pretty much similar to that of de Villiers. Also, his teammates were seen flashing signs of 'Baby AB' after the 18-year-old completed his half-century.

Yash Dhull and Vicky Ostwal help India beat South Africa
Despite a brilliant knock from 'Baby AB', South Africa could not chase 233 in their quota of 50 overs and got bowled out for 187, losing the match by 45 runs. Vicky Ostwal did the damage for India as he took a fifer. He was ably supported by Rajangad Bawa who took four wickets. Ostwal was brilliant with the ball as he not only took wickets but did not concede runs as well. He only gave away 28 runs in his 10 overs helping India keep a check on South Africa's scoring rate. The 19-year-old also broke the crucial partnership between Dewald Brevis and Valintine Kitime.

Earlier, while beating for India, captain Yash Dhull smashed a brilliant half-century and helped his team get to a decent total. Dhull scored 82 off 100 balls before being run out. He got good support from Kaushal Tambe and Shaik Rasheed who scored 35 and 31 respectively. India will next face Ireland in the Group B clash on 19 January.
