Smith and Broad are parts of Star Sports’ commentary panel for the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League. Ahead of one of the most exciting clashes of the cash-rich league, the cricket greats discovered Maharashtrian cuisine and tried their hands on some of the most popular dishes at the legendary Prakash Shakahari Upahar Kendra in Dadar, Mumbai.
The two went out to a local restaurant to try Maharashtrian food, along with the social media team of Star Sports. The Ashes rivals tried some of the most popular dishes including Sabudana Vada, Vada Pav, and Missal Pav. Not only this, but they also tried the famous Maharashtrian drink Piyush, which is a blend of yoghurt and shrikhand.
The cricketers found the food too spicy for their taste buds but could be seen enjoying the local delicacies thoroughly. Talking about IPL action in India's financial capital, Mumbai Indians are set to host arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings in the El-Clasico of IPL 2024.
