Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine smashed his maiden career century against the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024. Narine has been in scintilating form with the bat throughout the 2024 season before this match as he put his highest score of 85 earlier in the tournament. But against the Royals at the Eden Gardens, Narine achieved the magical three-figure mark.
After losing the toss, Kolkata was asked to bat first and lost in-form opener Phil Salt cheaply. But Narine alongside youngster Angkrish Raghuvanshi posted an 85-run stand, during which he was his second only half-century of the season.

Narine was eventually cleaned by Trent Boult at the 17.3 over-mark and was applauded by the entire RR squad. Narine was out at a score of 109 in 56 balls with 13 fours and six sixes.
He's got that poker face all throughout: Iyer on Sunil Narine
Speaking at the toss, KKR captain Shreyas Iyer talked about Sunil Narine's stealthy approach as he comes out to bat. Iyer said, "Would have loved to bowl as well based on the last game, on how the ball moved around."
"Whenever he (Narine) comes in, he is hard to read and he's got that poker face all throughout, we want him to perform him the way he has. We are playing the same team," Shreyas Iyer concluded.
