Meanwhile, Indian bowlers provided the perfect start, sending three of the New Zealand batters back to the pavilion within the first two overs. Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh bagged two wickets for India. The hosts continued to dominate New Zealand in the middle as Hardik Pandya bagged another wicket in the third over of New Zealand’s innings. But it was totally Suryakumar Yadav’s wicket because of the way he pulled off a stunner.
As Glenn Phillips tried to cut a climbing delivery close to his body, the ball flew off the batter’s outside edge towards the second slip. Yadav, meanwhile, was alert as he timed his jump to perfection to get hold of the ball. The fielder was pumped up after pulling off a screamer.

It was the second instance of Yadav pulling off a stunner while fielding at the second slip. Earlier, in the very first over of the NZ innings, Surya took a similar sort of catch to dismiss Finn Allen.
New Zealand could not recover from these early blows and eventually succumbed for 66, handing India their biggest win in T20Is 9by 168 runs). Captain Pandya bagged four wickets while Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, and Shivam Mavi took two wickets each.
