Lionel Messi, the Argentine football legend, was almost upstaged by his son Thiago during his official Inter Miami unveiling on Sunday. The 10-year-old boy, who is also a talented football player, tried to pull off a cheeky nutmeg on his father as he walked around the stadium to greet the fans.
The fans at the DRV PNK Stadium in Florida also cheered and applauded the father-son duo, who were joined by Messi's wife Antonella, and their other two sons, Mateo and Ciro. Messi had just been introduced to the crowd by Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham and president Jorge Mas, who presented him with his new shirt.
A video of the hilarious moment went viral on social media, showing Thiago kicking a ball toward Messi, who was wearing his new No. 10 jersey. The ball bounced off Messi's leg and went through his legs, much to the delight of Thiago, who raised his arms in celebration. Messi turned around and smiled at his son and continued waving towards the packed crowd.

We are going to have a good time and very good things are going to happen."
