During the second T20I between India and Australia, Tilak Varma pulled off a tough catch of the in-form Josh Inglis to get his team firmly in control of the contest. At the Greenfield International Cricket Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, India achieved a massive total of 235/4 on the board earlier, putting themselves in the box seat to take the 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series.
It was the fifth over of the Australian batting innings when Ravi Bishnoi bowled a flatter delivery which Josh Inglis, the centurion from the previous T20I, tried to smash over the fielder inside the ring at mid-on region. But the right-handed batter miscued his stroke, only for Tilak Varma to backpedal at the mid-on region before grabbing hold of the ball and keeping it in his hands despite a massive tumble.

Notably, the chief architects for Team India in reaching the score of 235 in their allotted 20 overs were the top three Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ishan Kishan scored fifties each. For Australia, Nathan Ellis did pick up three out of four wickets in their bowling innings, but he conceded runs at over 11 runs per over.
