On Tuesday, March 18, Michael Bracewell-led New Zealand hosted Pakistan in the second of the five-match T20I series at the University Oval in Dunedin. While the hosts had won the toss, they invited Pakistan to put the score first on the board. In rain-reduced 15 overs a side game, the visitors put up 135 runs at the loss of nine wickets with skipper playing a 46-run knock.
Posting a decent score on board, the Kiwis then chased the total in 13.1 overs to go 2-0 up in the series with three matches still to go. New Zealand opener Tim Seifert starred with the bat, playing a 22-ball 45-run inning, including three fours and five maximums at a strike rate of 204.55. Finn Allen also chipped in with a 16-ball 33, helping Kiwis to win the clash.

But what caught the eyeballs was Seifert unleash his prowess against star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi. With Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha bringing back Afridi to bowl the third over, Seifert welcomed him with a maximum down the ground. Afridi once again bowled a length, wide outside off which the Kiwi opener hit it over the cover for another maximum.
However, the Pakistan pacer controlled his pace and length before going for another length delivery which Seifert lashed over deep mid. With Seifert already scoring 20 runs off five deliveries, he once again maintained his shape to slam the ball over deep square, getting 26 runs off the third over.
