Veteran New Zealand pacer Tim Southee came out on the field for the last time in international cricket during the third Test match against England at Seddon Park in Hamilton. To make his final Test match memorable, Southee took his daughter Cooper to walk out on the field during day one of the third Test in front of thousands of fans in attendance.
Tim Southee was in front of the line as New Zealand players were walking on the ground for the national anthem before the beginning of the Test match. Leading the side to the ground, Southee held his daughter in his arms walking into the ground for his final Test match. The video went viral as soon as it was shared on social media.

New Zealand post 315/9 by stumps on day 1 of 3rd Test
Talking about the match, New Zealand ended up putting a total of 315/9 by the end of day one of the third Test in Hamilton. The hosts have already lost the series, and now aim to avoid series whitewash at home. For New Zealand, skipper Tom Latham led from the front with a captain’s knock of 63 runs off 135 balls hitting nine boundaries. Along with that, Will Young and Kane Willamson ended up scoring 42 and 44 respectively in the top order.
After a good start, New Zealand started losing momentum as they kept losing wickets as regular intervals, and the score was reduced to 231/7. Following that, Mitchell Santner took charge in the end, and ended the day with an unbeaten 50*(54) runs hitting seven fours and two sixes by the end of day one, during which Tim Southee also struck 23 off 10 with three maximums. Santner will continue to bat on day two along with Will O’Rourke before the fall of the final wicket. For England, Gus Atkinson and Matthew Potts took three wickets each, while Brydon Carse took two and skipper Ben Stokes put in his bag.
