On Saturday, December 7, star Australia batter Travis Head scored his eighth Test century during Day 2 of the ongoing pink-ball Test in Adelaide. Playing in front of his home crowd in Adelaide, Head reached the milestone mark off 111 th  delivery off Ravichandran Ashwin’s over.

While the Aussie middle-order batter smashed the Indian bowlers all over the park, he reached his ton, second against India in the 72 nd  over of first Australia inning. Head opted to go for a single off Ashwin’s delivery to reach his century, the stadium quickly erupted in a cacophony of noise.

Travis Head brings up special celebration for newborn son

Head, who has been India’s nemesis after his famous century came in the 2023 ODI World Cup final, flicked wide of mid-wicket as he opted for a single. Soon after reaching his eighth Test ton, he immediately brought rocking baby celebration with his bat with his wife and the child being in attendance at the Adelaide Oval.

He wasn’t done yet as Head brought up another celebration as he placed the bat-handle on the helmet and lifted it up. Apart from his celebration, the crowd went bonkers over the homeboy’s knock in the crucial pink-ball Test.

The 30-year-old during his 111-ball stay in the middle, laced his innings with 11 fours and three sixes. Furthermore, he also brought his third hundred in day-night Test, sitting just behind Marnus Labuschagne who sits at top with four Test tons in pink-ball Test.
