While he reached the half-way mark off 25 balls, scoring the fastest fifty in the ODI World Cup 2023, his century came in just 59 balls. It is to be noted that the Aussie opener is coming on the back of an injury he sustained in the ODI series against South Africa. The top-order batter fractured his thumb, ruling him out of the first five games of the World Cup.
