The Pakistan Super League 2023 is underway with the defending champions Lahore Qalandars registering a win over Multan Sultans on Monday (13 February). Although the tournament did not have a great start as a fire brook out in one of the floodlights at the Multan Cricket Ground. However, in sometime, all was under control with the fire brigade coming and extinguishing the fire.
Ahead of the start of the third match of the PSL 8, another incident took place which did fume one of the cricketers. Prior to Quetta Gladiators’ tournament opener, batter Umar Akmal got fumed at one of the journalists when the latter questioned about his TikTok videos and fitness in a press conference.

“In recent days, it felt like you are giving much time to TikTok and not focussing on your fitness,” said the journalist. The 32-year-old batter was quick to respond as he said, “Who has told you that I frequently upload TikTok? It is my personal life and it is in front of everyone.”

The batter also slammed the journalist stating,” It would be better if you refrain from asking such questions”. He also asserted that all will reply in a similar manner if questioned.

Umar Akmal was last seen playing in national colours in 2019 in a T20I match against Sri Lanka. His last appearance in the ODIs came against Australia in Dubai (March 2019), while he last played a Test match in September 2011 against Zimbabwe. However, he has been playing the Pakistan Super League and will represent Quetta Gladiators this season.
