Valencia outfield player Yunus Musah scored an absolute banger against Atletico Madrid in LaLiga late last night, which was later disallowed by the VAR review. Atletico striker Antoine Griezmann scored the only goal of the match after just two minutes of his substitution and ended the managerial meeting between Gennaro Gattuso and Diego Simeone with the latter having the last laugh.

The American midfielder or right-winger, Yunus Musah thought that he had scored a rocket and gave his team an early lead in the 23rd minute. However, the referee turned down the VAR review for a foul in the build-up. The referee spotted an infraction by Valencia’s Mouctar Diakhaby on Atletico de Madrid forward Joao Felix.

If the goal wasn't turned down, it would have been the 19-year-old US International's first goal in this season and third career LaLiga goal.

Super substitutes Antoine Griezmann and Thomas Lemar combined in the 64th minute to score the winner for Atletico. Lemar assisted Griezmann, who scored with a deflected shot, to make it two wins out of three LaLiga games for Atleti.

Atletico will next face Real Sociedad on September 3 in the LaLiga before hosting Porto in their UEFA Champions League group stage opener on September 7. Meanwhile, Valencia are set to host Getafe on Sunday in LaLiga.
