Kolkata Knight Riders opener Venkatesh Iyer seemed to be in a lot of pain as he hurt his back while facing Lucknow Super Giants' Krishnappa Gowtham. After winning the toss, the Knight Riders restricted the Super Giants to a decent 176-run total.
Then in the second innings, Knight Riders got off to a blistering start on the back of a brilliant Jason Roy knock. But as Venkatesh Iyer tried to increase his scoring rate against Gowtham, he attempted a slog towards the leg side and lost his shape completely. As he completed his shot, Iyer was in excruciating pain he immediately went to the ground. Fortunately for KKR, the after the physio's visit, Iyer was ready to bat.
