Team India and hosts Pakistan had a joint training session on Friday ahead of their crunch Asia Cup 2023 clash at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka. During the session, many Pakistan cricketers interacted with Indian stars including Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma among others. However, the interaction between Indian star Virat Kohli and Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf grabbed many fans' attention.
On the eve of the India versus Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup 2023, many Pakistan cricketers including Shadab Khan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi were spotted interacting with veteran batsman Virat Kohli. While they seemingly sought advice and suggestions from Kohli, Haris Rauf and Kohli's interaction looked more ecstatic.
Cricket fans can hardly ever forget the spectacular and historic batting display by Virat Kohli against Pakistan during the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. When India were in deep trouble, Kohli smashed two consecutive sixes off Rauf in his final two deliveries to help the Men in Blue close in on the target. During their interaction on Friday, Rauf can be heard saying, "Jidhar see guzarta hu na, Kohli, Kohli, Kohli ho jata hai," which can be translated to, "Wherever I go, Kohli, Kohli, Kohli is chanted."
The hilarious comment by Rauf brought a huge smile to Kohli's face as the India star hugged the Pakistan pacer and asked for his health. Ahead of their fixture, Kohli was seen practicing shots off Mohammed Siraj's bowling. However, Kohli got hit with his delivery, and though he confirmed not getting injured, Kohli soon left the nets.
