Coming back to Kohli’s innings, it was a nervy start for the 33-year-old as he got a thick edge on the second delivery he faced. However, Fakhar Zaman failed to hold on to the sharp chance and Kohli survived. There were many mistimed shots and inside edges post the dropped catch but Kohli held his ground and slowly built his innings. With the ball not coming onto the bat that well, the right-handed batter cautiously played his shots.
Kohli hit three boundaries and one six in his innings before perishing to a loopy delivery from Mohammad Nawaz. The batter tried to take on the left-arm orthodox as he stepped out and slogged it towards the long-off boundary. However, Nawaz was smart enough to not give pace on the ball and as a result, Kohli could not time his shot and handed an easy catch to the fielder.
