Team India ended their 10-game winning streak in the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 after losing the final against Australia on Sunday. The Indian camp was disappointed after failing to win the tournament, however, Indian star Virat Kohli displayed a beautiful gesture as he congratulated his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Glenn Maxwell after the match and gave his jersey to the Australian all-rounder.
While many expected the Indian team to take revenge for their 2003 CWC final loss to Australia, the Men in Blue succumbed to despair against the mighty Aussies, who extended their record by winning the sixth ODI World Cup title. Players like KL Rahul, and Mohammed Siraj were left in tears after India's loss while Virat, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and others also had their dreams shattered at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
After the match, players from both teams shook each other's hands as the Indian star Virat Kohli shared a heartwarming moment with his RCB teammate and Australian all-rounder, Glenn Maxwell. The 34-year-old Kohli gifted his signed jersey to the Aussie all-rounder and the video has gone viral on social media.

The Indian batters failed to deliver a big total on a tricky Ahmedabad pitch as Virat Kohli (54-off-63) and KL Rahul (66-off-107) were the only two batters to score a half-century in the final while Rohit Sharma smashed 47-off-31 to give a decent start to the team. For Australia, Mitchell Starc picked up three wickets while Josh Hazlewood and Patt Cummins also dismissed two players each.
However, it was Travis Head's magical knock that helped Australia beat India by six wickets in the CWC 2023 final. Head smashed 137 runs off 120 balls with 15 fours and four sixes. Among the Indian bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah picked up two wickets while Mohammad Shami and Mohammed Siraj picked up one wicket each.
