Virat Kohli has arrived an in some style. The former India captain has looked in fabulous nick ever since he returned from his month-long break. After scoring a run-a-ball 35 against Pakistan in the first match of the Asia Cup 2022, Kohli scored a half-century against Hong Kong. Now, the star batter has backed his knock of 59* (44) with another scintillating knock and that too against arch-rivals Pakistan.
Kohli reached his 32nd fifty in the shortest format as he flicked Muhammad Hasnain for a maximum on the last ball of the 18th over. The 33-year-old looked in the mood right after he faced the first ball. Gautam Gambhir too felt that as he praised the batter’s intent and footwork. Kohli then slowly built his innings and eventually got to his half-century with a handsome stroke.
The batter then celebrated his knock with a cheeky move. Kohli raised his bat and accepted the applause from the crowd and his teammates. After that, he also cheekily indicated to take off his helmet. In the end, the batter, pointed to the BCCI logo to celebrate it.
