On Thursday, May 9, Puma Cricket took to their X account to post a BTS video compilation of Virat Kohli poking fun at the expense of his fellow RCB teammates. The hilarious video has been posted online in the build-up to Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s upcoming clash against Punjab Kings at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala.
Virat Kohli, the centrepiece of Puma Cricket’s latest advert, has also been the centrepiece for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s recent resurgence in the IPL 2024. RCB have won their last three matches in the ongoing tournament, keeping themselves in the hunt for a top-four finish and a spot in the IPL playoffs.
The current Orange cap holder in the IPL 2024, Virat Kohli has amassed 542 runs in 11 innings at an average of 67.75, while his strike rate is 148.08.
In the Puma Cricket’s BTS video compilation, Virat Kohli was spotted standing alongside Dinesh Karthik and Mohammed Siraj before saying to the latter, “Miyan thoda pose do, kya waiter ban raha hai tu bilkul hi? (Miyan please give a pose, why are you becoming a waiter?).” He also looked at Rajat Patidar, who was down on one knee with a boombox on his right shoulder, and said while laughing out loud, “Station mein nahi baithte hai woh apna ataichi leke. Ataichi leke baitha hua hai (The people who sit down with their briefcase at the station. He is sitting there with a briefcase).”
Moreover, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will require Virat Kohli and the rest of their players to be at their absolute best against Punjab Kings in their upcoming IPL 2024 clash, to keep themselves alive in the playoffs race. If RCB win their remaining three matches in the league stage of this IPL season, they will need a few results to go their way, to make the top four on the points table.
