Indian batting great Virat Kohli returned to India after a thrilling 1-1 Test series against South Africa. After losing the first Test in Centurion, the Men in Blue retaliated with a dominant performance in Cape Town to level the two-match series. India registered a dominant seven-wicket win at Newlands in a Test which lasted just two days as the hosts were bundled out for 55 in the first innings.

With the bat, the Indian team also struggled while Virat Kohli top-scored thanks to his fighting 46 in 59 balls with six fours and a six. Proteas put forth a better batting effort by scoring 176 and setting a 79-run total. Captain Rohit Sharma batted through as Team India finished the game in 14 overs.
After this performance, Team India departed back home as we saw Rohit Sharma reach Mumbai on December 6. Following the Indian opener, Virat Kohli was spotted at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai in a video by celebrity paparazzi Viral Bheyani.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli available for T20Is against Afghanistan: Reports
Ahead of the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have reportedly informed the BCCI that they are available for selection despite not featuring in T20 Internationals since the 2022 T20 World Cup as per The Indian Express. The selection committee is set to pick the team for the three T20Is against Afghanistan and the first two Tests against England.
