Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) stalwart Virat Kohli met his former Team India coach Rahul Dravid ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 contest against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. RR will play for the first time in Jaipur in 2025. Earlier, Royals played their home games at Guwahati’s Barsapara Cricket Stadium. Both RR and RCB lost their previous matches but in the upcoming game, they will endeavour to undermine each other to gain two crucial points. In their last game, the Pink Army were trampled by Gujarat Titans (GT) by 58 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Ahead of the RCB challenge at home, RR took to their X handle and posted the video of a meeting between two Team India legends at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. “Whether you’re a young one or number 18, pehle toh Rahul bhai se hi milna hai,” wrote RR on X. RCB have won all their away games in this competition but lost matches while hosting Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

RCB will want their batting unit to be disciplined in RR clash
RCB witnessed their batting unit falling through against DC in Bengaluru, despite getting an exceptional start from openers Phil Salt and Virat Kohli. After Salt’s fiery knock, only Tim David (unbeaten 37 off 20) batted confidently and took the Challengers total to 163/7 in 20 overs.
Forgetting their previous failure, Bengaluru will now look to dominate the Royals in Jaipur. In RR’s conventional backyard, the Challengers have won four games while the hosts have also emerged victorious on five instances. In 2024, the first IPL champions got the better of RCB twice. It was Royals that concluded Bengaluru’s campaign in the playoffs by bagging a four-wicket win in the Eliminator game held at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
