India’s talismanic batter Virat Kohli flaunted his Bengali language skills as he received a special gift from Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz. Notably, India and Bangladesh recently clashed against each other in a two-match Test series, where the hosts swept their counterparts 2-0. After the match, Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz gave a special gift to Indian Virat Kohli as well as skipper Rohit Sharma.
Hasan started a bat company named ‘MKS Sports’ alongside Imrul Kayes and his other friends last year. In a video doing rounds on social media, two cricketers could be seen having a chat about a bat manufacturer. Miraz revealed that Kohli had previously enjoyed using bats from the manufacturer.

Responding to Miraz’s revelation, Kohli responded in Bengali and said that MKS bat is very good. He said, "MKS bat, Khoob Bhalo Achchi" (MKS bat, it is very good). The Indian batter went on to say, "Very good bat, keep doing the good work. You make very good-quality bats. Continue this work and provide cricketers with quality bats.”
Notably, before Kohli, Miraz also presented a bat to Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, who also wished him the best for his venture. Speaking of Bangladesh’s tour to India, the hosts defeated Bangladesh 2-0 in the Test series on Tuesday and solidified their spot in the WTC final’s race. They are now set to clash against each other in a three-match T20I series from Sunday, October 6. The T20I squad will be led by Suryakumar Yadav.
