India star batter Virat Kohli interchanged the position of bails and the South Africa batter Tony de Zorzi got out on the very next ball. After the completion of a five-match T20I and a three-game ODI series, South Africa hosted India for a two-match Test series. The first Test match kicked off on December 26, Tuesday, at the Supersport Park Stadium in Centurion. The hosting skipper Temba Bavuma won the toss and invited the rivals to bat first.
On Day 2 of the game, former India skipper and batter Virat Kohli played some mind games, which ended up rewarding the visitors with a wicket. Kohli was spotted interchanging the position of the bails on the second day, and what followed after stunned everyone. The Proteas' batter Tony de Zorzi was dismissed on the very next ball, and he had to walk back to the pavilion with a score of 28 runs off 62 balls.
Watch Virat Kohli's bails-switch magic:
De Zorzi was caught out by Yashasvi Jaiswal in the 29th over off a Jasprit Bumrah delivery. Speaking of India’s batting, the guests failed to put up a decent performance with the bat earlier on day 1. India were bundled out at 245 runs within 68 overs.
Stuart Broad interchanged bails in final Ashes test; Labuschagne dismissed in next delivery
This isn't the first time that such an incident has taken place in the game. Earlier this year, during the final Ashes Test, England pacer Stuart Broad had pulled off a similar mind game. On the very next delivery, Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne was dismissed, compelling him to walk back to the pavilion. The incident took place during the Day 2 play of the fifth and final Ashes Test this year at Kennington Oval in London.
During the 43rd over of Australia's over, Mark Wood bowled a dot ball to Labuschagne on the fourth delivery of the 43rd over before Broad performed his antics. On the fifth delivery, Labuschgne got an outside edge and Joe Root took a stunning catch, dismissing the Aussie.
