Rohit Sharma’s Team India is taking on England in the second Test at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. After winning the toss, the Men in Blue decided to bat first with Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal bringing his second Test ton on Day 1 of the second Test.

In the 49th over of the Indian first inning, Jaiswal b r ought his century in style with a six off Tom Hartley. The 22-year-old after going for no run off Hartley’s first two deliveries in the 49th over, landed the ball in the stands on the third delivery. Soon after, Jaiswal removed his helmet, and flapped his arms before blowing a kiss to the heavens.

It is to be noted that Jaiswal’s first three-figure score had come on his debut Test last year. He scored 171 against West Indies in an away Test. The left-handed batter, who is just appearing in his sixth Test, has amassed 411 runs in five Tests. In his sixth Test, he is currently batting at 117 off 169 balls at the time of writing.
Speaking of the ongoing Test, while skipper Rohit Sharma departed cheaply having cored only 14 runs, Shubman Gill (34) and Shreya Iyer (27) are also back to the pavilion after their brief stay with India nearing the 200-run mark.
