The Men in Blue are all set to lock horns with Australia in the much-awaited World Test Champions Final. The Indian team is already in England, having resumed their practices for the all-important match. Although the side boasts some experienced players in their ranks, the No. 1 Test team also has some star young players who have been in their prime form.

Among many such is Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is in the purple patch in his career as he sealed a place in the Indian team after a recognising domestic season, followed by IPL 2023. For now, the left-hander is in the reserves for the WTC Final against Australia as he replaced Ruturaj Gaikwad who is set to get married. Jaiswal had his first net session with the national team at the Oval as he faced the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and later got some batting knowledge from Virat Kohli.

The aggressive opener entered the nets and faced some pace deliveries but Ashwin was the only bowler from the squad who bowled to him. In the videos going viral, Jaiswal can be seen hitting aggressive shots and did not leave any loose balls as his trademark cover drive was the highlight of the session. The young RR batter was also seen taking some batting tips from the Indian stalwart Virta Kohli as the latter demonstrated some batting positions.

It is to be noted that the 23-year-old certainly has a great future in the Indian colours as he and another emerging youngster Shubman Gill are expected to form the base of the Indian batting lineup in the coming years. Jaiswal recently won the Emerging Player award at IPL 2023 as he amassed 625 runs in 14 matches for the Rajasthan Royals.
