In an unfortunate turn of events, a young cricketer from Maharashtra died on field due to cardiac arrest. A cricketer named Imran Patel collapsed during the match on the field at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Thursday. Since the match was being live-streamed, the moment got caught on camera, and the video went viral on social media within no time. Patel collapsed on the field while leaving the field after the umpires allowed him to do so.
The batter came out to bat as an opener, and complained of chest and arm pain with the umpires. A few members also noticed this and came out to attend him. While the umpires allowed him to leave the field, the batter collapsed to the ground and everyone rushed to him to help him out. The batter was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Another cricketer Naseer Khan, who was also a part of the match, revealed that Imran didn’t have any history of any medical condition. Not only this, but he also revealed that the incident shocked him since the batter was in a good condition. He told the Times of India, “He didn't have a history of any medical condition. He was in good physical condition. In fact, he was an allrounder who loved the game. We're all still in shock."
Notably, the cricketer is survived by his wife and three daughters, with the youngest being only four months old. The 35-year-old had a real estate business and a juice shop in his area.
