On Sunday, March 16, the inaugural edition of the International Masters League T20 culminated with the Sachin Tendulkar-led Indian Masters reigning victorious against the West Indies Masters at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. The Indian side chased the 149-run target in 17.1 overs to seal the title with six wickets in hand.

While the match had its own turns with both teams putting an exciting inning, what caught the eyeballs was the heated face-off between former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and West Indies’ Tino Best. The incident unfolded in the 13th over of India inning as the former West Indies pacer wanted to go off the field after completing his over.

Seeing Best’s decision, Singh was quick to inform the umpire about the issue, which resulted in the West Indies pacer’s return to the field, leaving him visibly irked. As a result of the same, Tino Best walked towards Yuvraj Singh and got into a verbal spat as the duo were also seen pointing fingers at each other while hurling some fiery words.

Before things intensified, the on-field umpires and West Indies Masters’ skipper Brian Lara had to intervene to calm the two players. Speaking of the match, Yuvraj Singh’s unbeaten 13 off 11 deliveries and Stuart Binny’s 16-run knock helped the India Masters chase the total in 17.1 overs.
