Cricket is considered as a separate religion in India and people preach the sport with all their heart. The recently concluded season of the Indian Premier League with jam-packed stadiums was a testament of how people follow the game. Kids to youth, the favourite pastime of every other Indian is playing cricket, be it on grounds, lanes or even streets. Recently Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal who was spotted having similar sort of experience. As the spinner was enjoying his hands at batting, the former South African cricketer AB de Villiers pulled his leg. 

In a video posted on the social media accounts of Yuzvendra, affectionately called Yuzi, the cricketer was seen playing defensive shots and avoiding getting out. He was enjoying the game with local players who were enjoying the game on the streets. The spin bowler captioned the post, “The gully Impact player kya bolti (what say) @rajasthanroyals”

Meanwhile, Mr 360 degree subtly pulled his leg and commented ‘Opening batter’. Notably, Chahal and AB were formerly a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL. 

Talking about the 16th edition of the IPL, Chahal finished as the leading wicket-taker for his side, Rajasthan Royals. He bagged the purple cap in 2022 and accounted for 21 dismissals in this year's edition and an economy rate of 8.18. With this, Chahal went past former CSK bowler Dwayne Bravo’s wicket count of 183 to become the overall highest wicket-taker in the history of the cash-rich league.
