In the 14th match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub Regional Africa Qualifier B, Trevor Gwandu of Zimbabwe pulled off an incredible one-handed catch in the follow through to dismiss Francis Muia Mutua of Kenya. Shortly after the exceptional fielding effort from Trevor Gwandu, Zimbabwe achieved a commanding 61-run win over Kenya at the Gymkhana Club Ground in Nairobi.
For the unversed, after winning the toss, Sikandar Raza, the captain of Zimbabwe, decided to bat first versus Kenya, but his team found it tough to replicate the heroics from the previous match against Gambia. After scoring his maiden T20I hundred just days ago in double quick time, Sikandar Raza could only get 27 runs in 28 balls with two fours and one maximum, which led to Zimbabwe finding themselves in some trouble at one stage.

But it was his teammate Ryan Burl, who got a splendid 61 off 43 with five fours and one maximum, to help Zimbabwe reach 163/7 in their allotted 20 overs. In the run chase, Kenya got a poor start, losing three of the top order batters in the power play stage, and the fall of wickets never abated at any stage of their innings, which put them out of the game well before its eventual finish.

In the 18th over of the Kenya innings, Trevor Gwandu bowled a shorter delivery, which Francis Muia Mutua tried to hit on the up, only to splice it towards the bowler, who had the wherewithal to put his right hand out while leaping up, to grab hold of the ball out of thin air. Shortly after, the right-arm fast bowler picked up the final wicket of top-scorer Lucas Oluoch Ndandason (24 off 19), to help bowl out Kenya for 102 runs in 19.1 overs.
