The New Orleans Pelicans registered their franchise-high 153 points against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night at the Smoothie Kings Center to win the game by a whopping 29 points in the NBA 2023-24 regular season. In the first half, Pelicans star forward Zion Williamson took a flight for an emphatic one-handed dunk, showing his dominant disposition.

The Pelicans dominated the Jazz in all four quarters to win the game 153-124 as CJ McCollum led the scoring with 33 points followed by Herb Jones (22). Apart from them, Zion Williamson (17 points, 11 assists) and Jonas Valančiūnas (17 points, 12 rebounds) registered double-doubles while Brandon Ingram scored 18 points, made six assists, and five rebounds.

In his 23 minutes of action against the Jazz, the 23-year-old Zion displayed his tremendous jumping ability. In the early minutes of the second half, the Pelicans star forward took a flight for a  one‑handed alley‑oop dunk, which was assisted by Dyson Daniels. With this shot, New Orleans extended their lead to 12 points against Utah.

New Orleans vs Utah: Highlights

The home side led the Jazz in all four quarters as they went 18 points up in the first half with a 77-59 score and continued their dominance in the second half to win the game by 29 points. During their dominant win on Tuesday night, the Pelicans set franchise records with 153 points and 41 assists while Zion Williamson had a career-high 11 assists.

CJ McCollum was the star of the night for the Pelicans as he shot 9 threes with almost 70% three-point shooting in less than 30 minutes and scored a game-high 33 points. Herbert Jones scored 22 points with 8-off-9 from the field including a 100% 3-point shooting with 4 threes.

On the other hand, Collin Sexton (22) lacked support from his teammates after shooting 75% from the field and 50% from the three-point shooting in less than 24 minutes. The 28-year-old forward,  Simone Fontecchio stepped up with his 18-point game, shooting 6-off-9 from the field with 62.5% three-point shooting. However, they lacked support from their star players Lauri Markkanen and Jordan Clarkson who combined for 20 points.
