In a big update, Royal Challengers Bangalore are nearing to rope in South Africa bowling all-rounder Wayne Parnell for the remainder of IPL 2023. This update comes after Reece Topley ruled out of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League.
It is to be noted that Topley was ruled out on Thursday (April 6) following his shoulder injury which he sustained during team’s opening game against Mumbai Indians at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. With this, the England all-rounder became the fourth player to be ruled out of the ongoing edition, after Will Jacks, Josh Hazlewood and Rajat Patidar.
However, as reported by ClubCricketSA, Parnell is likely to join the side soon as will be available for selection after his arrival.
Talking about the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s campaign so far in the IPL 2023, the Faf du Plessis-led side sit at the seventh position after their heartbreaking loss against KKR on April 6 at the Eden Gardens. The side although won their opening match against five-time champions Mumbai Indians, they lost their first away match by 81 runs.
The red and gold side will now lock horns with Lucknow Super Giants on April 10 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
