Afghanistan scripted history as Rashid Khan’s men registered a 2-1 series win over Pakistan at Sharjah in UAE. After shocking the T20 World Cup finalists in the first game, Afghanistan sealed the three-game series with another closely fought win in the second fixture. Celebrating this monumental victory an Afghan cricket super fan Wazhma Ayoubi has once again gone viral on the internet.
Ayoubi first rose to internet stardom during the 2022 Asia Cup where she was seen cheering for her country and waving the national flag during the game between Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Reports say Wazhma is an avid sports fan residing in Dubai. She is a social activist and an entrepreneur who owns her own fashion label called LAMAN.

Going back to the series win, the Afghanistan side got off to a great start in the first game as their bowling attack restricted a young Pakistan side at the score of 92-9. The Afghan bowling attack was the star of this win as each bowler managed to pick up a wicket. The second T20I was a similar story with Pakistan’s batting putting up just 130 in their 20 overs.
But unlike the opening fixture, the Afghans didn’t breeze through the chase, while the batters had to fight hard as they won the match with one ball to spare. After clinching the series, Afghanistan suffered its first loss to Pakistan in the third game.
The Men in Green saw top performances from Saim Ayub, Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan in the batting department. Then with the ball, Ihsanullah and Shadab Khan each picked up six wickets as the Afghan team was bundled out at the score of 116.
