Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) registered their fifth straight win to stay alive in the IPL 2024 playoffs race. The Faf du Plessis-led side despite losing the toss, triumphed with a 47-run margin to displace Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2024 standings and jump to the fifth spot.
After being invited to bat first, RCB posted 187/9 in their stipulated 20 overs, courtesy Rajat Patidar’s well-made half century and crucial unbeaten 32-run knock from Cameron Green. But later, the bowlers did their part along with some brilliant catches which paid off with a crucial win.
Although with Axar Patel looking in good form at one point of the game, DC eventually lost by a 47-run margin and slipped to the seventh spot in the IPL 2024 standings.
